Dailies are the raw, unedited footage recorded during a day of filming. They often include slates, repeated takes, alternate performances, and material that never appears in the finished episode. The production team reviewed them to evaluate performances, coverage, focus, sound, and continuity before the episode was edited.
Day 7 of filming, July 25, 1996. A dailies tape runs in the order the footage was shot and transferred, so most scenes come back more than once over its fifty minutes. Here every take of a scene is gathered into one video, in tape order, and the slate at the head of each take gives its setup and take number.
